The Getaway is one of the most ambitious crime action games released for PlayStation 2. Developed by Team Soho and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, it is set in a detailed recreation of London and follows two interconnected stories involving organised crime, revenge, corruption, and dangerous criminal organisations.

Players take on the roles of Mark Hammond, a former criminal forced back into London’s underworld, and Frank Carter, a police detective determined to bring down a powerful criminal network.

The game combines cinematic storytelling with realistic driving, intense shootouts, chases, escapes, investigations, and an atmospheric open-world environment. Its mature crime narrative, voice acting, and cinematic cutscenes made it a distinctive title from the early PlayStation 2 generation.

This PAL copy includes the Platinum edition game disc and standard edition cover artwork. The editions do not match, which may be important for collectors looking for a fully matching original set. The manual is not included.
